Flashback to Winter 2007

While Spielbany has been happening since 2004, the first time it was formally known as Spielbany was for the Winter 2007 event, 6 years ago. For nostolgia's sake, here is the list of games that were played over that weekend.

Scaling...
Hm, looks like it got scaled a bit, hope you don't mind squinting.
Cool!
I remember standing outside my hotel room in Santa Monica, talking on the phone with Gil (possibly Jeff, but I think Gil) about the All For One game!
By the way, the other designer on All For One is David Brain (and he should get top billing over me - it was his original idea).
Since that time I have played a few of those title:
Lost Adventures
Wag the Wolf
Othberon
Prolix
Sands of Time
Thanks for the nostalgia!
yep, fun...
Thanks for chiming in Seth, I think I remember seeing the other end of that phone call from across the room.
Since then at least two of these have been published, both by Z-Man. Gil's "Prolix" and Jeb's Tubes got the gopher treatment and was released as "Burrows."
I really wish that Tentacular got picked up by someone, that one was a lot of fun. Also, I loved where "Monster Liner" was headed wish they were able to work out the kinks.
Also, it's a little depressing to see that I haven't spent much time on a couple of my games listed here since then. I think this was the only actual play of "Stack the Bench" ... I still like the concept, it just has some tough design issues.

Zev also published Magnet, although that wasn't a Spielbany-designed game. And Wag the Wolf, though it didn't get published (yet?), did end up as a finalist in Hippodice (not sure what year). I bet that, if the rights have reverted to him, John could probably kickstart Monster Liner through Synelix and have a pretty successful campaign, especially if little miniature monsters are involved.
